Romantis Announces New Software Release for EASTAR™ Satellite Router – DVB-S2 Support Added to Cut Space Segment Costs for SCPC Services

Romantis GmbH announces today the release of new software version for the EASTAR™ satellite router developed and manufactured by Romantis. One of the innovations of this release is support of the efficient DVB-S2 standard in dedicated SCPC mode of operation. New software can be remotely installed on EASTAR™ satellite routers that were purchased by users earlier using built-in upgrade tools.

Romantis Opens Office in Berlin to Provide Higher Level Customer Support

Romantis GmbH has opened its new head office in Berlin to strengthen the market penetration in EMEA markets and to provide higher level of support to its expanding customer base. With the launch of the new office Romantis customers will benefit from the full suite of services provided by the on-site Network Operation Center and the warehouse facility that contains the broad selection of EASTAR™ VSAT hardware. The Berlin office will serve as headquarters for the Romantis Group.

EASTAR™ & iNetVu® Passed Compatibility Tests

Eastar Co. and VSAT operator Settelekom (AltergroSky™) have successfully tested out the UHP-1000 satellite router produced by Eastar, Russia and Romantis GmbH, Germany and the iNetVu® self–pointing antenna system produced by C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., Canada for Compatibility Tests (CPT).

Romantis Runs Live TV Transmissions of Channel One Russia from Germany via Intelsat 904

On May 9, 2010 Romantis GmbH participated in the organization of the direct television feeds from Germany of the Channel One Russia’s mobile satellite station. Reports were dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of World War II End and were transmitted via Intelsat 904 (60 degr. East, Spot 1).
