Romantis Appoints Harald Stange New Managing Director

Berlin, Germany (January 7, 2010) – Romantis Board of Directors appointed Dr. Harald W. Stange to succeed Kai Lauterjung as Managing Director of Romantis GmbH and Director Business Unit EMEA effective 1 January 2010. On taking up his appointment, Dr. Stange will be responsible for management of sales activities of Romantis Business Unit EMEA, Romantis GmbH regular administration as well as participation in strategic development of the Romantis Group. Most recently, Dr. Stange served as Vice President Sales and Marketing ICT of Detecon Al Saudia Co. Ltd.

Dr. Harald Wilhelm Stange was born in 1951. He graduated in “Physics and Technology of electronic components“ and after conferral of a doctorate in “Solid state physics” he joined the Berlin ZFTN Telecommunication Research Institute in 1981. Dr. Stange has strong industry background. Much of his career has been involved with management of sales and marketing of satellite based communication services and ICT as well as technical consultations to various telecommunication projects. He held various management posts at the TELEMONT GmbH, EuroDATA GmbH, DeTeSat GmbH / Plenexis GmbH. In particular, he was Managing Director of Telemont GmbH, General Director of EuroDATA Kft., a subsidiary of EuroDATA GmbH in Hungary from 1993 to 2003 and Director European/International Sales of DeTeSat GmbH / Plenexis GmbH from 1996 to 2002. Following initial field assignments in the Middle East he joined in 2004 Detecon Al Saudia Co. Ltd. as Director Business Unit Satellite Services.
