Romantis Took Part in Live HD Transmission of Soyuz TMA-21 Spaceship Launch

The Romantis group provided capacity on the Intelsat 15 satellite to establish live HD broadcast of Soyuz-FG rocket launch carrying the Soyuz TMA-21 Gagarin spaceship. On board the ship is a crew of Expedition 27 to the International Space Station. The launch took place on April 5, 2011 at 02:18 Moscow Standard Time /22:18 GMT/ from the Baikonur Space Center launch pad no. 1., which 50 years ago, on 12 April 1961, was used for the first manned flight. The HD television signal was beamed from the Baikonur launch site to the Intelsat 15 satellite (85o East, Russia beam) for further distribution all over the world.
