Network HUB

Hub is a key component of any EASTAR™ Satellite Network operating in TDM/TDMA or TDM/TDMA Mesh mode. The Hub manages operation of all network Terminals, dynamically distribute a common satellite bandwidth, acts as a central router and gateway to external networks. The EASTAR™ Hub transmits information to the network Terminals via TDM outroute channel, while one or several TDMA inroute channels are used for communication in return direction or directly between the Mesh Terminals.

EASTAR™ Hub can be based on UHP-1000 or UHP-8000 satellite router. The Hub is scalable just by adding additional router in its configuration. Such additional routers may expand the Hub by additional inroute channels or redundancy features. The UHP-1000 based Hubs are recommended for small-to-medium size networks, while the UHP-8000 router has a wider choice of features and recommended for networks of any size.
